General Terms and Conditions

Status: January 2025

Registration and confirmation

Binding registration for a trip must be made in writing. Special requests, registrations under certain conditions or verbal side agreements are only valid if they are confirmed in writing by the tour operator. The written registration constitutes a contractual offer which only becomes a legally binding contract upon written confirmation by the tour operator. Each applicant is jointly and severally liable to the organizer for the fulfilment of the contractual obligations of the persons registered by him/her.

Payment / travel documents

After registration you will receive the travel confirmation and the travel insurance certificate. A deposit of 20% of the tour price must be paid upon receipt of the travel confirmation/invoice and the travel insurance certificate. The remaining payment must be received by the organizer no later than 21 days before the start of the tour. In the case of bookings made at short notice, the full tour price must be paid immediately.

Cancellation of group tours

If an advertised minimum number of participants is not reached for our group tours, the organizer can (but does not have to) withdraw from the travel contract up to 21 days before the start of the tour. In this case, the organizer will inform the customer immediately. The customer will be refunded the tour price paid. Further claims on the part of the customer are excluded.

Cancellation of group tours and individual tours

If the trip is significantly impeded, jeopardized or impaired as a result of force majeure unforeseeable at the time the contract was concluded, both the tour operator and the customer may cancel the contract. If the contract includes repatriation, the tour operator is obliged to take the necessary measures to repatriate the traveler. The legal consequences are set out in the law.

    Cancellation

The traveler has the option of withdrawing from the travel contract before the start of the trip. The date of receipt of the declaration of withdrawal by the organizer or travel agent is decisive. For reasons of preserving evidence, we recommend declaring the withdrawal in writing. The following cancellation fees shall be due: 20% of the tour price in the event of withdrawal up to the 29th day before the start of the tour, 40% in the event of withdrawal from the 28th to 14th day before the start of the tour, 60% in the event of withdrawal from the 13th to 7th day before the start of the tour, 80% in the event of withdrawal from the 6th to 2nd day before the start of the tour, 95% in the event of withdrawal one day before the start of the tour or on the day of the start of the tour itself and in the event of non-arrival. If the customer misses the start of the trip, a connection or is prevented from continuing the trip due to incomplete travel documents, this shall be deemed a withdrawal. If the costs associated with the cancellation are demonstrably higher than the flat-rate cancellation costs stated above, the tour operator may charge these costs.

In this context, we recommend that the customer takes out travel cancellation insurance in any case!

    Services

The services to be provided by the tour operator are based on the service descriptions in the brochure or Internet text.

      Changes to services and prices

The organizer is entitled to change the agreed content of the travel contract for legally permissible reasons. Changes and deviations of individual travel services from the agreed content of the travel contract, which become necessary after conclusion of the contract and which are not caused by the organizer, are permitted, provided that these changes or deviations are not significant and do not significantly affect the overall design of the booked trip.

        Liability

The tour operator is liable within the scope of the duty of care of a prudent businessman for the conscientious preparation of the tour, for the careful selection of the service providers and for the proper provision of the contractually agreed services up to a maximum of three times the tour price. The organizer is not liable for damages caused by third parties, nor for damages caused by his own fault or by not following the instructions of the tour guide. The place of jurisdiction is Bremen.

        Travel documents

All travel participants from EU member states require only a valid identity card or comparable document. For nationals of other countries, the relevant consulate will provide information on the necessary travel documents.
