As early as the Middle Ages, many pilgrims, after reaching the longed-for tomb of the apostles in Santiago de Compostela, continued on to the end of the then known world: Cape Fisterra. On this journey, we follow in their footsteps to reach the "end of the world" on the Atlantic Ocean in four days on the "Camino Fisterra".
After Santiago, there are still a few hills to overcome before the route becomes increasingly flat towards the sea. The landscape is often reminiscent of Ireland.
After a rest day in the village of Fisterra, the route heads north in two short stages. Via the beautiful village of Lires, the pilgrims finally reach the fishing town of Muxía. There, too, the cape and the pilgrimage church of Nosa Señora da Barca invite you to marvel at the sunset over the Atlantic.
In good weather, pilgrims can not only admire the sunsets on this trip, but also take a dip in the sea on the Atlantic beaches.
Approx. 120 kilometers of hiking

Travel on your own to your accommodation in the city, check into your room, get to know each other over dinner, possibly take a walk through Santiago de Compostela, get in the mood for the Way of St. James.
Today, as on every pilgrimage day, we offer a spiritual start to the day. This short introduction to the day is of course optional. Then the first hike to Negreira begins. Shortly after Santiago, you will once again have a wonderful view of Santiago Cathedral. Later, the Way of St. James passes the medieval bridge of Maceira before finally reaching the small town of Negreira.
(22.1 km - uphill and downhill in between, medium difficulty)
After Negreira, the route passes through many small villages and very rural areas, where the landscape reminds the pilgrim of Ireland time and again. The pilgrims meet in the village of Lago for the transfer to their accommodation in A Picota. (26.5 km - longer stage, but easy to walk)
Transfer back to the starting point on the Way of St. James. The Way of St. James leads through the restored village of Olveiroa, which is well worth seeing, with its imposing corn silos, to the plateau before Cee. Shortly before Cee, you can see the sea for the first time. (25.9 km - medium difficulty)
The Way of St. James leads along the bay of Corcubión and through the village of the same name up to the Alto de San Roque. After the Alto de San Roque, a final steep climb to overcome, the Camino continues along the sea to Fisterra and the "end of the world". (16 km - easy)
Free day in Fisterra with the opportunity to enjoy the village and its beaches. If the weather is good, it may also be possible to take a dip in the Atlantic. This evening at the latest, you should also go out to the cape to enjoy the sunset.
The pilgrims walk through beautiful forests and small villages to the small village of Lires. A slightly longer version of the Camino leads directly along the sea. Weather permitting, we enjoy the sunset in the sea over dinner in the beach bar. (13.5 km - easy)
The Way of St. James takes us along country lanes and small roads, through forests and across a beautiful plateau to the Marian pilgrimage site of Muxía. There is enough time to marvel at this small harbor town and its pilgrimage church Nosa Señora da Barca on the cape. (15.3 km - easy)
Return journey by support vehicle to Santiago de Compostela and return flight.

No support from the tour guide on rest days and days off. The tour guide does not walk with the pilgrims on the Way of St. James on the pilgrimage days, but organizes the luggage transport and can be reached with the support vehicle in case of emergencies.
This offer is a pilgrimage group tour planned and organized by Pilgino. Breakfast and dinner are taken together. There is also a voluntary "start of the day" every morning by the tour guide for the whole group. Pilgrims are not necessarily required to walk in a group, but can choose their own pace and the intervals between breaks.
The tour guide does not go on pilgrimage with the participants, but drives the support vehicle, takes care of luggage transportation and can be contacted by telephone if necessary. Our tour guides are themselves experienced pilgrims who are happy to help and advise the participants.
The minimum number of participants for our group tours is usually 8 people. If this number is not reached at least 4 weeks before the start of the tour, Pilgino has the right to cancel the tour. In this case, you will receive a full refund of your deposit or the tour price already paid.
